Mac Tools

Mac Tools was established in 1938 the name at that time was the Mechanics Tool and Forge Company by 7 men with the ordinary goal to construct the best tools in the world. The 1st stride towards their goal was taken on July 11, 1938, when they ratified the Articles of Incorporation, and were formally accredited by the state of Ohio. The state released two hundred fifty no par common shares of stock, of which these men could only buy 55 shares.

However, they persisted, and selected Ralph McPherson and Otto Tucker as the 1st Chairperson and Secretary of the governing body. These 2 men came up with all acquirable capital, a measly $5,000, to rent a building and purchase used machinery so they could start production.

Nowadays, Mac Tools has a line of products in excess of 42,000 items, and yet applies the exact plan of approach with a mobile sales force of distributers. The Mac Tools doctrine of superior quality, price and service stays unaltered over the years, and the company spirit that made them productive in 1938, is the unchanged spirit that makes them a leader in the auto tool and equipment business today.
